STUDY RECOMMENDATIONS
We understand that tutoring isn’t always an option for every family. That’s why we’ve put together a list of free or low-cost resources to help your student succeed—no matter their budget.
Start with the official guides (linked below). These are always my first recommendation.
If your student is preparing for a standardized test and wants a reliable self-guided method, follow these steps:
- Read through all the content in the official guide to get familiar with the format and concepts.
- Choose at least 10 practice problems from each section. Work through them without any help, and make sure to time yourself.
- Check your answers only after completing the set. Use the official answer key and review any mistakes.
- Repeat the process until you feel confident. If you’re stuck, search for YouTube tutorials or other instructional resources to help clarify tricky topics.
- Once you’re comfortable with all the material in a section, take a timed practice test of that section only.
- Grade your test using the answer key, then focus on reviewing any areas that still need improvement.
- Repeat this process until you’re satisfied with your score and feel confident with the material.
